Oh that's right, getting my business off and running.

In Scrappy news- I average about 2 times a year, now.
I am ok with that, at least I like what I make those few times I do it!
However I am doing a pay if forward swap, and enjoying the creations I am doing.
Disneyland- yah, we haven't been since February. Why? See above!
But..... I am doing a big wedding right down the street next weekend and may have time to stop by for a visit.
Maybe. Not sure.

I did not add in any DIY books, and trust me, I read plenty of those. But I did not necessarily complete them from cover to cover, so I don't feel it is fair to include them.

So that's it. That is all I have read. I make no claims as to how much I will be reading this year, and I am not setting any reading goals. Well, except one, to always have a book in progress. That is my goal.

I had a resolution- to find my camera manual, but that clearly is not going to happen. So I got a Ken Rockwell shortened version and that should do the trick. I really was only trying to play with the timer anyways!

I have never watched it, not once. Maybe because I have an aversion to anything Heidi Klum and I know she was part of it. But today while looking at some old High School photos, I came across one of a classmate named Ricky. Maybe you have heard of him? Ricky Lizalde? I never knew he was on the show. Funny how small the world really is! Here is a pic of Ricky at good old EHS.You can see current pics of him on his website. Oh and if you don't already know, he designs super cute lingerie. Get some! The last time I did was July 17, 2010
I did 2 pages. They are still sitting on a shelf cause I can't find the book they go in ( I think it's at storage with the never used items) Now it is time to get to work on the rest of 2010. Never been a whole year behind before, this should be interesting! I am looking for sketches of easy layouts to get this year busted out and done!
Got any great resources for that? If so please link them up!

House is clean, laundry is done, presents are bought, wrapped, and all I have to do is mail 3 packages, which I am not doing til next week, oh, and get the Christmas cards ordered and sent, also next week. Other than that I have nothing on my agenda- so maybe today will be a scrappy day, afterall!

I can't believe this month is almost over, already!!
For the first time ever, we are going to my grandpa's house in Arizona for Thanksgiving.
It is going to be a fast trip, as we have to be back on Friday, otherwise we would stay all week.
The good news, since we are going to middle of nowheresville Arizona, we are taking a slight detour to see
Smiley Julie We didn't head out her way over the summer, like we planned, mostly because it was so hot and we were so busy, but this time we will go there for sure!
I love Thanksgiving. I love to cook dinner. Even if it is only for one person we have to have a turkey and all the trimmings! Wonder what I get to make this year?! I know it will be fun to visit with my grandpa and my mom and stepdad will also be there, so it will be a good time.

The wedding has caused so much drama that today I stated I was going to Vegas to get married if the invites didnt come in by Tuesday and printed correctly. For reals. Bridesmaidzilla drama like whoa, venue issues. People issues. Seriously. If you are so thrilled we are getting married why not keep your opinions to yourself!
I have been way to busy to blog, and I really could care less! Not blog hopping, nothing. Facebook is from my phone and that is at a minimum too!
I was going to say something else but just got interrupted by yelling screaming boys about the slot car track not working right, or something. And dinner is burning!

Finally got my computer up today. Wow. It was so hard to plug that usb thing in and press next a few times!
So I am getting a little caught up on blogs, only a little, I can't go back and read a weeks worth of posts from everyone! Found the new library, Trevor likes his new school and made friends the first day. Hung out with some old HS friends, demoted and promoted people in our wedding party. Been eating some good food, making wedding arrangements. Going next Monday to take some measurements for tables, etc.
And that is about it. Oh, one thing you might like to hear- I chose THE DRESS. Yep, the one. And the girls picked new gowns, because their original choice is not available in the colors any longer. So we are SET!
Now to get the guys fitted for their suits, I can already tell we are going to need lots of cocktails to get through that event!!

It's Moving Day!!

No really, I am not that excited!
Happy because things won't be in boxes all over the house anymore, and happy to be living more near everyone, but I hate the process of moving. I get hives from the boxes, the animals are confused. Things are missing for awhile. Hate it.
So far I have been on facebook, blogging now, read a few blogs, had my coffee and Claritin to help with the hives, hopefully, and got the boy off to his last day of school. The computer is sitting in the living room all by itself because it is going with us and doesn't need to be unplugged yet! I lost my phone 5 times yesterday going from room to room and of course everyone under the sun thought it was a good day to call me, it wasn't! So I may not be blogging for a few days, however my Disneyland facts of the day will autopost.

I have seen more goldfinches in my yard than the entire 10.5 years I lived in Iowa. And it is their state bird. Hmmm
Friday, school field trip to the zoo, we were there less than 3 hours and if you have ever been to the San Diego Zoo, you know it is quite hilly and hard to cover the whole thing in that short amount of time. And it is not set up to easily circle the whole thing, you have to back track to see things.
I had a group of 11, I lost 2 girls at one point but they found us when we came out of a building. I knew all 5 of the boys in my group, but none of the girls so it was hard to keep track of them. I told them to watch out for each other!! It was pretty fun, but I always get shin splints after hilly walks and was surprised when they weren't aching on Saturday.
Saturday we went on a hike in Mission Trails Park to find the old dam. We had no idea where it was, but after consulting a trail map we figured we could find it. We did ask some walkers when we came to a real road and they directed us down the correct path. It was pretty neat, even took the little dog and he plowed right through streams and such.
Sunday we went to Bridal Bazaar and yep, my shins were aching! But, we found our caterer!! yay! That was the last thing we needed to finalize.
I also was put in contact with another bride that needs help with her wedding.
My Etsy shop is doing good, just sold 5 things to a girl in Germany, who messaged me every single day because she could not see the listing in my shop with her name on it. ok. It was there. She finally saw it when I direct linked her to it and ordered and paid so now I get to go to the post office of hell and mail her package. Fun stuff.

Finally about done with my Etsy update. It has been a long time coming! I took all the pics on a sunny day and packaged everything up and priced it so it would be easy to list. But then I never did it~ Well now it is DONE! Except for 2 kits I found that I hadn't photographed. But it is cloudy off and on outside so they are going to have to wait til tomorrow when we can get some natural light in here!

Also- I have a few people getting married this year and I have been perusing all the registries for the perfect gift. I was just wondering, why do people register for so much barware and wine glass sets?? You know when people come over you break out the plastic cups anyways so what is the point????

So tonight we are going to watch Glee for the first time ever. So what if it's the second season and we never saw any of the first. I imagine since its a FOX show we will be able to figure out what's going on! Today I did a few chores and now I am going to work on my Girlie ATC's for a swap at SIS. I know, right, there are still swaps there?? A few. The site has pretty much died. The peas site is still about people that talk about scrapping and try to get their post counts high, and some of the other sites have jenky forums that suck. So, I will keep poking in here and there to see what is going on. Hope you all have a good Tuesday!

I have been a bad bad blogger, and blog reader! I just did some catching up, but I went based off my blog feeds, which don't always update. So if you feel bad that I missed you, leave a comment and I will come by and say HI!!
So this weekend was David's birthday, and Easter. We celebrated his day by going to Miramar Speed Circuit. An indoor go cart track on Friday night. Where he set the day's track record. I have some crappy pics I won't bother uploading. Even with my ISO bumped up to 3200, (yes, you read that right) My camera hated the place. Maybe it was the dark, speed, or air. I don't know. But the best pictures were those of them parked. Sad.
Saturday we made an appearance at my cousins son's birthday party on our way to Davids party. All the while we had his ice cream cake in a cooler in our car. Which seemed to be ok. But after burgers we got it out of the restaurant fridge, and it was a melty mess. Still tasted good, but looked a mess! He got a lot of cool gifts, and it was fun hanging out with friends and family. We came home, along with my parents who were spending the night, and I made Banana bread and Red Velvet Cake.
Sunday I got up at 5am because I haven't been sleeping good lately anyways and prepped for Easter Brunch.
I melted white chocolate for the between the cake layers and added a whipped cream cheese frosting and sliced fresh strawberries for the top. It was yummy!!
I made ham, quiche, corn casserole, turkey calzone, cheesy potatoes, and more yummy stuff! It was a fun day, once again with friends and family. Oh, did I mention the Mimosas? We had those too! After a mishap with me turning off the oven and delaying the food 45 minutes, we headed outside where we had set up tables and chairs to eat.
It was fun and relaxing. Until about 4:40 when we had a huge earthquake that freaked Trevor out like crazy. And I will admit, in my whole life, it was the longest one ever. Almost a complete 60 seconds of rolling. I grabbed my blackberry and headed to a doorway and posted on facebook when it started. And noticed it wasn't ending. At All. And then I noticed my bookcase of Disney things swaying like crazy and I went and held it still. I called Trevor out of his room to stand in a doorway and he had already dove under the kitchen table. Everyone else just stayed on the couch and in the chair where they were. But it was finally over and I jumped online to check out facts, etc. It was a 7.2 and centered in Mexico. We were right in the middle of its strongest shaking and had no damage. Some cans in the cupboard fell over and 2 things fell off a shelf in the bedroom. But that was it. No biggie. We loaded up some cake and headed next door to check on our neighbors (he is a 911 operator and has tons of scanners) they were ok and enjoyed the cake. We have had about 20 aftershocks since it happened, but minor. No biggie.

I participated in the Favorite things swap this month, and have been waiting for my package! My partner was soooo sick!! Today, the package arrived and smelled so good before I even opened it!

There are some great things in there, can you believe I lived in Iowa for 10 years and never saw The Bridges of Madison County? I even went to see the house used for the movie! lol
I was totally thinking of making brownies today, and this mix will make it easy!

Or something like that! Tomorrow is St Patty's Day, the day to eat Corned beef and cabbage and drink some green beer, or Irish car bombs if you prefer (I don't!) and we got tickets for Hooleyfest so of course now I don't feel good! Hoping it isn't turning in to strep, but it may be. Ugh!
Today the house is nice and quiet, Trevor is at school and David is at work, Kitties are napping in the sun, dog is buried in a blanket on the couch, as usual. So I think I am going to work on some things I need to get sent to people. There was a post about it way back HERE so maybe I should get on that!! Hey it hasn't been a year, yet!
The last time I cropped was 9/11. I made some ATC cards for 2 swaps hosted by the lovely Miss Ally, and my cards went missing. Yep, I never got a finished set. Sucks. I keep getting burned in swaps, trades, etc, so I am done with them!! Done I say!
So I am going to organize some scrappy stuff I bought, everything since September is still in bags, and then I am going to make the lovely ladies something. I have an idea, but we will see if that's what they end up with!

In other news- please go visit my girl Brandy and send her some good vibes. She is having a tough time lately and needs a pick me up.

Also, please head to Canada and say Hi to Kelli her doggy is sick and is one of her babies and he needs some well wishes!

This is some of my favorite things. I tried to go to all my favorite stores and get something I frequently buy while there. I noticed I had a lot of junk food in the box I was preparing for her! So apparently my favorite things are to eat and read trashy magazines!! And there are also some hidden things not pictured in case she peeks!

David was home today so we finally worked on our bedroom redo. We got a new bedspread about a month ago and it has been sitting in the corner just waiting to go on. Finally found some sheets to match it so it was time to get going!

We just went and found drawer pulls I liked (after 3 stores) for the dresser but the screws are a little too long for them. David is going to file them down or something so I can't switch my clothes out from my other one yet. Tomorrow! I am working on my project for the Wonderland swap still and I hope it is dry so I can mail it!! I will post peeks later. Have a good Friday everyone!

Hope you all enjoyed your Valentine's Day weekend! We had a great time! Of course we went to Disneyland, both Sunday and Monday. Visited with friends and family, and just hung out and had fun!
Last time we were there, we saw this-

A wedding in the park, during business hours. Not quite as costly as renting out the entire place after hours for a private event. But ridiculously expensive none the less!

Sorry, but I don't.

I was told about a position that is opening soon at a huge event center and was asked if I would get tired of planning weddings in the same place over and over again. No two weddings are alike. Even with twins unless it is a joint wedding! lol Everyone has their own personality and details that make it personal and different. And if not, I can help them with that!

So I have joined the Wonderland swap, over there on the sidebar is the link.
I found some pretty cool things for my partner already, and I know what I want to make so I will get started on that this weekend.
Also, this weekend is Valentine's Day. One of my favorite holidays! Of course we are going to Disneyland and have reservations for a romantic dinner for two.
We are also going on Monday with some great friends. Should be a fun time, no school Monday for the kids so they get to go too! Rented Paranormal Activity from the Redbox last night, but I'm too scared to watch it! Maybe tonight, had to watch Bachelor last night. Yep, disappointing. I was really looking forward to someone going home! Hopefully Vienna. Swamp Queen.
I finally read some blogs, I was meaning to catch up on them! Looks like January was blur for everyone!
Work has been fun, mostly training, but I have helped some actual customer! This weekend I am on my own with that. Also my side business planning weddings is taking off. I met with a bride Saturday that is getting married at The Grand Tradition this summer and needs some assistance. She was very organized and her wedding will be fantastic! I am also consulting on one, mostly online helping the bride and hers is also going to be just beautiful! Speaking of weddings, our sample invitations, save the dates, programs, custom details all are due to arrive this week! Can't wait to see them in person! So many details are done for the wedding it is mostly just sit and wait time. I have another meeting with the caterer and cake lady soon and need to go choose my linens and chairs but other than that, my list is short!!
Well we are off to the bank, grocery store and chinese buffet. Hope your week is good!!

So finally after searching all of last year, I have a job! Yay!!
I am pretty excited, can you tell?? Not much going on this week, just doing some purging and cleaning around the house, working, and cooking. You know, the usual!
Not sure what is on tap for this weekend, supposed to go to a bbq for an old friends bday tomorrow, but now Im working most of of the day, and Sunday was going to be a Disneyland day, but it seems like we should hang out with some people we haven't seen for a bit. You know how we always say Disneyland is a great place to meet people? Well so is the Anaheim Convention Center! Just across the street from Disneyland is this huge place where they hold tons of functions each year. Like CHA, ever heard of that one? Well luckily JULIE came to CHA this year! And we got to finally meet in person! After 2+ years of emailing, texting and online chatting, we met!! And I must say, you really can't tell how someone truly is in person just by reading their words. Julie you were a crack up. A little too hard on yourself, but hilarious! Sunday we went to Disneyland to meet Victoria in real life. She was there for a few days and we had to meet some others there for dinner anyways, so it worked out great! Met her group of friends, rode a few rides, and then we had to go meet our dinner buddies. It is so great to meet people in person that I have chatted with online. I love it! And Disneyland is a great place to hang out! Anyone else coming to the area??

Yesterday there was a tornado warning for San Diego county. And super high winds. Our top speed was 43 but some areas were 75. While watching the news today a man said a twister ripped part of his roof off while he stood there watching, apparently he has no idea what a tornado is and doesnt realize the damage high winds can do when they arent linked to a tornado! Fool! We had some heavy rain yesterday for an hour, but I was in Escondido meeting with our florist and had rain, but not as bad, then the skies cleared and the rest of the day was gorgeous! Today we woke to sunny blue skies, but now it is gray and chilly. The heaviest rain is supposed to fall this evening. Blah. I have great pics to upload and will post separately. Stay dry!

This is a detailed post of our weekend, if you dont like hockey, feel free to skip the second paragraph!

It has been COLD lately!! This weekend we drove up to Julian for some yummy pie, and because in Southern California the leaves change color and fall in December! It was cold, windy, and full of people wanting pie, but we found a spot. We even saw some flurries. Trevor's friend Sage came with us and the boys had a great time being silly and goofing off! We stopped at Dudley's bakery for some jalapeno cheese bread and came home. It was a fun day. Sunday we went let Trevor open a present from Santa, because we were not going to be home on Christmas day, however plans changed and now we will.
Anyways, he opened the gift, because it was tickets to the Ottawa Senators/ Anaheim Ducks hockey game that day. We were planning on heading to Disneyland and then leaving early for the game, but didn't know how to explain to him why his hockey stick was in the car, so we gave him the envelope. While he was still in bed. He was pretty excited to get the tickets. Then we asked him to check the date on them. "December 6", he says. What's today? I asked. checks his watch, "december 6" Yep, so get out of bed and lets go! So we went to Disneyland and decided to do more of the stuff we rarely do. Rode a few rides, went over to California Adventure and rode a few, then headed out to the game, the Ducks play about a mile from Disneyland, so it wasnt far. When we got there, we paid $15 to park. Ridiculous. And then found the people from the local ice rink that we were to be joining. Trevor got his stick out and passed a bit in the parking lot, people grilled and hung out, and it was fun. But sooooo cold out! We headed to the kids zone, let Trev play a few things, then went inside. I haven't been to the Pond in a long time. I know it is technically called Honda Center now, but to us, it will always be the POND! Disney started the team, and we were there for the inaugural season. When they were the Mighty Ducks. After getting out of sports, and selling the Angels and Ducks, the names and sponsorship had to change. But to us, it will always be the pond! It wasn't a great game. The Ducks are playing terrible this season, and it showed. For every Ottawa goal, the Ducks answered right back with a goal. But it ended in a tie and went to a shootout, Ducks lost. So we came home and at least Trevor got to go to a game.

My Mom informed me of some gifts she got Trevor for Christmas. However, 2 of them were duplicates of what we got. So I had to return them and find others. I got that done yesterday, picked up the others we needed, bought 2 ornaments for our Holiday Party, and mailed the Christmas cards. Im DONE! Now I just have to get the food for the party, which I will do next week when the fridge has room, and put up a few more decorations. Hang the ornaments back on the tree that the cats pulled off, and we are good to go! December is such a busy month and the days fly by! Hope you are all enjoying your month and getting things done. Don't wait! Get those decorations up and your cards mailed, Christmas Eve is 3 weeks from tomorrow!!

Why Hello Bloggers!! I havent been around much lately, not actually on the computer so it makes it hard to blog. And I dont feel the need to blog daily, so I stayed away! It has been a busy month! Sarah came to visit, we had our engagement party, found bridesmaids dresses, found a wedding dress for me, went to Disneyland, all that fun stuff. And No, you cant see pics of the dresses so dont even ask!
Trevor went to 6th grade camp and returned hoarse, full of stories, and obviously had a fantastic time! It is Christmastime decor at Disneyland, so if you live in the area, go visit, it is so beautiful! So I know a lot of people have asked, but Im not going to show the invites til next year, it loses the mystery if we do! Plus there are some details we just dont want to share yet, that will be revealed on the invite! In April you can see the save the dates if you wait! ha ha! So the meeting with security went good and we now have a confirmed location for our ceremony and reception! Now the real fun in booking the vendors can begin! We have firmed up our ideas for the following-

In other news, Sarah visits Nov 5-12 from Omaha. Hopefully it is awesome weather like she had in January! It was 85 here and -15 on the day she left. Yep, that is a 100 degree temp difference! It was pretty funny to see her leave in a tank top and flip flops and call her boyfriend to bring her boots, hat, scarf, gloves and heavy coat to meet her at her airport! We have alot of fun stuff planned for her visit, like dress shopping, gotta narrow it down, a visit to Disneyland, our Engagement Party! Yay! We did our registry last saturday and it took forever! But at least it is done!! For now! lol

Im sick. I hope it doesnt turn into swine flu. It seems like it is just a normal weather changed cold. Hopefully that is it! We went to Disneyland on Saturday night and stayed pretty late and it got chilly and then I slept with a fan blowing in my face all night :(
Sunday we went to 2 bridal faires. We got soooo much information it was overwhelming at first, but now I have gone through it all and decided who to keep in mind and who to pass on. We are fortunate enough to have a lot of people volunteering to help out and access to a flower mart so that will cut alot of costs.
I cant pick a dress. Well I take that back, I havent found "the one" yet. I did try on an essence of australia dress that was custom made for a shop I wandered in too and it was gorgeous, all hand beaded red swarovski crystals. But the train was about 10 feet long and I find that a bit too much. Plus it was $1500 and that is outrageous for something that will get ruined and go back in a bag! So Im still looking. I sold an old dress to a consignment shop last week and they had a gorgeous wedding dress there, for sale, $325 but I was there after hours and planned to come back during business hours. Friday I tried to go but it was Octoberfest, there was nowhere to park and when we finally found a spot and ran over to the store, they werent even open. What the heck?? So tomorrow I will go back, if Im not dead.
Coughing hurts and it hurts to blow my nose! So thats it for now. Hope you all had a good weekend!

1. I love baby kitties. I now say I have a herd of cats!
2. Dogs suck. Cats are way better. After this dog, Im done with them!
3. I think its hilarious that people dont know red velvet cake is really chocolate cake! It is the red food coloring and cream cheese that make it special.
4. I feel people that drive the posted speed limit, in the fast lane, should not be allowed to drive.
5. I could care less if I ever watched tv again.
6. I sleep with a small baby blanket over my head and most of my face. I like to have it dark!
7. I would rather text than talk on the phone. I rarely answer!
8. I would go to Disneyland every single day if I lived within half an hour of it.
9. I miss having a job, just so I can buy stuff!
10. Im thrilled to finally (13 years late) be marrying the perfect man for me!

So to update things-
We had a dinner at a local restaurant and invited everyone we want to be in the bridal party, a few couldnt make it, and one lives in Omaha, but the rest were all there and we asked, and they said yes, laughed, cried, drank, and we had a fabulous time! We were all there for 3 hours and it was a perfect night!

Sunday we went to my Moms and David went to watch football with my step-dad at the Beer Garden, and my Mom and I ran around looking at wedding things and got a pedicure. Heaven!
I tried on the wedding dresses I selected as choices for her and she loved them all, not really making my decision any easier! In November I have an appointment again and hopefully Sarah will be here then and they can all come and help me choose. Now we just have to find some dresses for the girls.
Im currently typing this with Sally's head in the way so I have to look over her and around her. She keeps trying to use the mouse as a pillow and she clicks it and deletes entire lines of my type. Smart cat! Naughty girl! Hmmm, I think that is about all we have done lately. It started to cool off and today it is 102. Not so cool!
Saturday we are going to the bay for an "end of summer bash" and to get the entire wedding party together for the first time. Well, all but Sarah, Darn Omaha! And that is about it!

Weekend stuff

Cropped on Friday night and got a good start on my Kawaii atc cards.
Saturday went to Justin and Ami's wedding PHOTOS HERE
Then Disneyland for 2 hours!
Yesterday toured model homes all day and ate at the Money Pit again with friends. Love it! Check on Twinkle HERE

Have I mentioned Im going cropping tonight and havent even started packing my bag yet?
I had a list of things to do but it didnt get done! David went in to work late today and threw off my entire morning! Now Im on hold with Microsoft and their crappy loud hold music while I wait for someone to talk to about the Xbox360 problems. Maybe to a "gamer" this music is rad, but I find it obnoxious!! Ok, I need to get off here, maybe I can pack and hold at the same time. Man I wish I could record this music, its getting really anticlimactic! I bet it gets even louder and faster!!

Did I mention the kittens?? Yesh, we got more than one!
Sunday we went to meet a local couple that had 2 female kitties left.
Intending on taking one. We chose the most rambunctious one and knew
it would fit right in here in our zoo. The other kitty was long hair, so
sweet and cute and mewing softly in the kennel. So we felt bad for taking
her sister away and agreed we should take both. The couple was so happy
that both were getting a home and they wouldnt have to take one to a shelter!
So we named them Sally Skellington and Wendy Bell.
Oh, and Sally, the rambunctious one is actually more calm than her sister Wendy!
I guess the pics are still in my camera so none for now. But you can see them on my facebook if you are a friend, or wait til tomorrow and I will post then!

So we headed up to Disneyland to meet Linda and her running partner Donna!

I love the chance to meet people in real life that I chat with in forums, blogging, etc! And since we have the annual passes to Disneyland, it makes it really easy if people are coming in to visit!
It was great to meet you Linda, and I hope your run was fantastic today! I saw the dates for next year and Im thinking we should do the family run next year, it would be really fun!!

Stupid boy names

These are not names I have googled or looked up. Lately I have finally been reading more blogs and if I see something interesting on someones sidebar, I clicky. Then you read that and find another blog of interest and so on and so on and so on.
If YOU or YOUR CHILD has one of these names. I don't mean to offend you. I know pregnant women trying to come up with boy names are about as sane as my cat on catnip, so I cant fault you entirely. I just wish someone in your family would have talked some sense into you!!

Trafton This is a place. A school, and now a persons name. Oh lucky you.
Tedroy This guy was lucky enough to be on a sample wedding invitation I got in the mail. His future wife Kate must be thrilled.
Damian I dont care how you spell it, its an evil name. Leave it to the movies.
Courtney It's a girls name people.
Blayde like on the lawn mower? A blade of grass?? dumb.
Steele yah. Sure. It was only good as a last name.
Malakai I can understand this if you are in a tropical location. But the white bread people of the midwest really have no business naming their kids this!
Buck like Buck Rogers?? Buck teeth? Seriously.
Forest this was seriously overdone because of a movie. Did you see the issues that kid had? I wouldnt exactly say this was name of honor. Besides, a forest is where the trees grow.
Austin happens to be in Texas. But I guarantee if you know a kid with red hair, he has this name. As if his pasty white skin and freckles weren't enough, you have to name him after a city in Texas. Good thinking!
Prince someone I used to be friends with names her kid Prince. She was a big fan of the small creepy man. No royal connections anywhere in the family.
Sir I worked with a girl who named her son Sir. Her reasoning was even if the teacher was telling him to behave in class, she would have to call him Sir. Im pretty sure that she set him up for failure from the beginning.
and my least favorite of all time...........
Bubba if your kid has a name, use it. Nowhere does it say there has to be a Bubba in every family in the country. Notice other countries dont have one in their families? There is a good reason for that!!

So there you have it. Some DUMB names I have been encountering lately.
It is also not a good idea to name your child after a part of anatomy, human or animal, such as talon, claw, etc. Or machinery, etc. And when combining names, make sure the rest of the world can spell or say them. Also, when you try to "get creative" with your spelling, all it does is make your kid sad when they cant get a keychain or mini license plate with their name on it at a theme park or store. Trust me, I see it weekly! It isnt cute. Its dumb. You are the only one that thinks its nifty! Ok, that is my rant for the week! Hopefully all you pregnant people read good baby name books instead of taking a name from your surroundings or the latest book you are reading! If I hear of a million Edward and Jacobs being born this year, I will shake my head at you too! Bella has already been overdone (even in our family) so I cant even comment on that one!

It totally feels like a friday to me! I keep looking at the calendar to make sure I know what's going on! Tomorrow Trevor goes to 6th grade orientation. He is nervous but we are glad to get him out of the house so we keep telling him how fun 6th grade is!

I joined 2 new ATC swaps today. Pretty excited about both topics! That's all Im sayin!

Made some sample table numbers, they look pretty good for using scraps! I busted out my acrylic stamps that never see the light of day and went to town! David liked them all!

I found out my stepbrother is going to be a father. So Im going to be an AUNT! yay!

My next post will be about stupid names people give their sons. Maybe another time I will include daughters, but for now its all about the boys. I saw another dumb one today and that inspired me to do it! Sorry if your name is Trafton. Cause that name is dumb! lol

This weekend we went to Bates Nut Farm for a picnic and fed the animals and got some stuff in the store! Went to Hooleys to watch a band and see a pirate. And Sunday we went to Disneyland with a billion other people to hang out and get engaged. Yep, you read that right! Shocking, I know!!

Im up so freakin early today! I didnt even go to bed til midnight but I was up at 5 when David came in to say goodbye. Better put another pot of coffee on!
It is a cloudy, cool morning, I love it! I even busted out my new FmF sweatpants and they are so cozy! So today Im taking pics for ETSY, if the sun comes out, and maybe scrapping a new Pink Ninja challenge. Its Old Skool this week! I recently put all those pics on FB after scanning them for days so I have a few choice ones I could use! Well I need to go find my camera and upload the pics from sunday so Im out. The Pink Pineapple crop was a great time! I met some cool Ninjas, had a cupcake and even won a prize! Oh yah, and I got a few layouts done too!
